The greatest danger journalists are facing today in post-revolution Arab countries is the targeting of journalists by political forces hostile to anyone who exposes them.

The CPJ reports that 43 journalists were killed around the world this year with Pakistan proving the most deadly with seven deaths.

There were 19 known targeted murders.

Photographers and camera operators account for a disproportionate amount of the overall death toll (40%).
