Camilla Cho, VP of Business Development, Outside.in, runs through the value propositions she believes her company and hyperlocal news sources in general provide to advertisers.

It’s this proposition that one hopes will make currently fledgling efforts sustainable.

In early March, AOL purchased Outside.in for a reported $10 million. This is less than the estimated $14.4 million that investors such as CNN, Marc Andreessen and Union Square Ventures originally put in the company. Ken Doctor has an interesting analysis of the deal over on Nieman Labs.
